1.
A lady is sitting in a busy mall with a bucket full of water and a collection of chemicals. She is trying to remove her nail polish and no matter what she does, the color wont go. She then calls other ladies in the mall to help her remove the nail polish.
This would be replicated in malls, at bus-stops, in book stores, ono busy crossings etc.
2.
A keyboard and mouse is kept with nail polish stains on the top. Text would say "need to remove nail color?"
3.
Neutral colored stickers in the shape of nails would be distributed to ladies. The stickers would be accompanied with a note saying "removing nail polish is as easy as putting these on.

Got this from 24 and in my humble opinion ... this is one of the best print ads I have come across ...
Billboards on Virtual Earth !!!
Its been a long time since I have been thinking about a career in advertising ... I know I wont be any good but I want one shot at it. Was reading things related to advertisements when I came across yet another new concept in advertising ... Billboards on Virtual Earth. They place virtual billboards on Google Earth and Virtual Earth.
We have seen ads everywhere ..
In the movies ... starting with Forrest Gump to Cast Away to The Truman Show
In homes ... Hangars, Carry Bags
In shops ... well loads of them
On roads ... billboards, traffic lights etc
On products ... logos, punch lines
On internet ... banner ads, pop ups, minisites
On email ... like this one
On software ... DAP, Web Accelerators etc
On blogs ... :)
Its everywhere. Add to the list Google Earth.
BrightGIS is offering spaces on Google Earth, ofcourse for a fee. Awesome concept .. !!!!
P.S.: Got this story from http://adverlab.blogspot.com/index.html. This is a very good resource for people interested in adverts.

My Top 5 Books !
Old money - the sign of good
I once bought something from the office canteen and I was given the change in coins. One 1-rupee coin, 2 50-paisa coins and 4 25-paisa coins. Yes you read it right, a 25-paisa coin. I could not remember where I had seen it last. In Delhi, the rupee has lost its value. There aren't many things that you can buy with a rupee there. Even beggars ask for 5 bucks now-a-days. I am sure Chennai is the only place in India where they still use a 25-paisa coin. I seriously want to know what happened to all those 10-paisa and 5-paisa coins that were minted in large numbers and is there a place where they still use them.
Since this is something that my grandchildren would never see (I am sure they won't study), I think I ought stock a few to show it to them. I can understand that even a lot of us (people in my generation) wouldn't have seen a 25-paisa coin. Actually it's history repeating itself. Most of us would not have seen an anna and I am talking about the next generation missing the 25-paisa coin.
For the benefit of my generation, I shall try to describe it. The coin is ... as expected ... round in shape with exactly two faces. It has a silvery, steely finish and I bet is could stick to a magnet. One of the faces has got a Rhino on it and the other face has 25 written over most of it. It also has the Indian National Emblem on it. A pic of 25-paisa coin is here. It is smaller in size than a 5-rupee coin and is good to hold. It is slightly bigger than an average shirt button.
And while writing this, I was googling for things and I found the following links ...
1. Track Gandhi – I have registered all my notes and wow is this fun and this is an awesome idea as well. I think I will talk to these guys and do something about it.
2. Indian Currency on Wikipedia - Details about Indian Currency.

Dusk = Dawn ?
Every new beginning brings fresh hope with it. I was also very keen to get this welcome change and get away from Delhi. After what all happened to me in pat seven months at my company, I was not very happy but I was looking forward to things with this change. But this was the change that was not supposed to be. I find myself yet again into one of those moments when I don’t have anything to do and I see myself fading away into obscurity. And this is something that is not acceptable to me.
Only solace is when I am out of the office and looking at new things and understanding how people here live, interact, talk etc. I want out !
This is probably the first time when I am letting my work life affect my personal life and by the way I have started drinking coffee again. I can now understand the plight of people who smoke, consume alcohol or need something to unwind. I am on their side !
